One of the biggest ongoing problems occuring in not only in just our country, but also worldwide is item packaging waste. A lot of packaging that is used is wasted and then thrown out to the public causing waste to pour into our beautiful oceans. Over time this problem has slowly gotten bigger and will continue to get bigger if no change happens. There are many ways this change can happen, new packaging can be made that is environmentally friendly or even force people to start recycling packaging materials. Change will help our planet and needs to happen now, our planet is slowly starting to die in front of our eyes.
To help clear out our world’s ocean, a great way to do this would be to make environmentally safe packaging products that allow people to sort of be able to throw out the materials. Naturally in a human’s life a lot of waste occurs, so to compensate for the waste thrown, making waste friendly for the environment would be one of the best ways. An example would be to make the packaging materials biodegradable, such as using hay or even using shredded paper instead of the styrofoam packing peanuts. It takes just about 500 years for styrofoam to decompose, 2 to 6 weeks for paper and 3 weeks for hay. Styrofoam and other non environmentally friendly things are extremely bad for our planet and too much of it will start to pile up and kill wildlife. In our society change is needed now.
Another way to reduce wastes in our oceans would be to start forcing people of the world to recycle all packaging materials to create a safer environment for all. Although it sounds like a stretch, forcing people to might be the best option. If people are forced to and this becomes a mandatory thing it will almost become second nature for all. If this law is enforced as strictly as it should be, the waste in the oceans will decrease and cause a not only a better looking environment, a healthy all around environment. When or if this shall occur this will help a lot more than others may think. Oceans will clear up, wildlife will be greener, air quality will be much better and temperatures will slowly go back to normal. Environmental change needs to occur immediately to help our planet as soon as possible.
Our world has one huge problem that has occured for many years and looks to be continuing to occur for many more, this problem is packaging waste that seeps to the ocean. A lot of packaging waste is thrown out to the public causing waste to pour into our beautiful oceans and our environment. There are numerous ways change can happen to help save our world’s beautiful oceans, new packaging can be made that is environmentally friendly or even force people to start recycling packaging materials. Change needs to happen sooner rather than later.
